Reception measures up…

We explored using rulers, metre sticks and tape measures all around our classroom. Mr Wilson even helped us out!

A great measuring game
It turns out we couldn’t wrap a ruler or a metre stick around Kate’s head. That’s when a tape measure is useful 👍
We found out that all our handspans were different sizes, just like our foot lengths. We needed some standard units of measurement. Centimetres are our new friends.
We overestimated how tall Mr Wilson was!
