This half term Year 5 & 6 have been exploring the learning question “How do Christians show commitment to God?” During some in-depth discussions about commitment they have shown how thoughtful and reflective they are. We’ve learnt that people chose to show commitment to God in a variety of ways and that it is a very personal decision. We have also looked at the lives, commitment and achievements of two Christian Nobel Peace Prize winners- Martin Luther King Jr and Mother Teresa which raised high levels of interest and extensive questioning. This week yr 5&6 were industrious when making posters to explain the ‘fruits of the spirit’ (characteristics that Christians try to adopt and can help those of any faith, or none, live their lives well). During their RE lessons the children have shown sharp curiosity and an impressive depth of understanding, as well as maturity and thoughtfulness. Well done year 5 and 6.
