We read some great books today, about amazing women who fought for their rights. These women sadly grew up in a time where women, especially black women, were at a huge disadvantage. We read the story of Ruby Bridges and how she was the first black female to attend her school, and how she was an activist for equal rights.
We spoke about how we are lucky enough to go to a school where we are all different, but also very much the same! We held hands and looked at how our skin was different, but spoke about how we are the same as we are all children from St Margaret’s who love one another.
We can be anything we want to be! The sky is the limit!
