We’ve really been enjoying learning about our local area for our new History Topic- Lee then and now!
Thanks to Rev. Tim and Amie, we are able to go up to the church and look for evidence about who used to live in Lee and when. We were lucky enough to be allowed into the site of the old church which was built in 1275!!!
We looked at the years on gravestone to help us date the site, and took pictures to help us understand more about the community that lived and died in Lee over the ages.
We found the notable graves of Edmund Halley (of Halley’s Comet!) and Christopher Boone who Boone street is named after!
