Year 2 continued their work on printmaking this afternoon. We looked at some amazing monoprints by an artist called Karen Lederer, and shared our ideas about what might inspire her.
We then thought about the surfaces we can print on, and rather than using one surface we created a piece of paper that included three or four surfaces with differing textures.
Once we were happy with our printing surface we used everyday objects and overprinting again to create some interesting shapes, colour combinations and textures in our work.
