Year 2 are able to tell you what significant and important peoples’ lives mean for society and the world. They recalled from last week some of the fascinating people that we are going to study this term including Marie Curie, Rosa Parks, Mae Jemison, Vincent Van Gogh and Nelson Mandela. The children have a growing understanding of the new vocabulary associated with the lives of movers and shakers in our history and today.
We then looked at what it means to be a campaigner and an activist and children were able to remember and relate to the work that Marcus Rashford has done for children in our very recent history.
