LKS2 started their new DT topic of structures this afternoon with a child-led creative exploration session.
The only brief that the children were given was that they needed to build a self-supporting structure using any of the following materials:
Art straws, pipe cleaners, lolly sticks, elastic bands, string, dowel and matchsticks.
They were also told that their structures needed to be able to be disassembled in order that the materials could be re-used. After that it was over to them!
The creativity and logical thinking on show has been brilliant.
Miss Bellis and I can’t wait to see what the children come up with during this project!
