Yesterday we took a trip to the British Museum to see the Benin exhibit, which enriched our learning about Ancient Benin. It was a fantastic opportunity to see real artefacts from the Benin Kingdom, such as the mask of Idia, the coral beads, the Benin ‘bronzes’ and the dancer mask. The children were extremely excited to see the items that we have spoken about in school and to learn about new ones. We also had time to explore the Mexico exhibits and the other Africa exhibits. They were very well behaved and respectful and a great time was had by all!
