Y2 History: understanding chronological order and primary sources.

On Monday, before our trip to see where the Fire of London started and spread, year 2’s history lesson focused on the chronology of the fire in 1666. We also learned about primary sources and why they are vital to historical research. The children made a human time-line of the unfolding events of the fire before completing a paper version. They also studied a primary source ( a map of London that was drawn in the 1600s) which helped illustrate why and where the fire spread.
