This week in Year One, we spoke about the consequences of poor sanitation in London in 1665. Although we hadn’t heard of the Great Plague before, our own experiences meant we knew what was needed to stop diseases from spreading.
We fast forwarded to 1666 and started looking at how the Great Fire of London actually started.
We used drama and freeze frames to imagine what it would have been like to be standing on Pudding Lane when the fire first started!
Inspired! During playtime, I spotted some children acting out what happened on day 1 of the great fire! We’re all excited about heading to Pudding Lane next week on our trip!
