This week in Reception we have been thinking about the changes we have been seeing outside. We noticed the leaves have been falling. We are also aware the need for our coats now it’s getting colder, which means winter is upon us!
We discussed what these changes mean, and how at this time of year hedgehogs are starting to get ready for hibernation. We would love to make a hedgehog house in our garden!! We have had a discussion though that making a hedgehog house won’t guarantee hedgehogs!
We watched a video of how to make a hedgehog house at home/school. We have some of the items needed but could really do with some wood or bricks. Here’s a photo so you know what rough size the wood should be.
We explored the Autumn colours and mixed the paint to make handprint hedgehogs!
