We want to make the school the best it can be.
Don’t lose sight of how fortunate we all are for what we have.
That was the message the children were given last week, using the excellent visual model above (taken from Factfulness by Hans Rosling.)
They were then asked the question: What part of the school building is in most need of renovation? Unsurprisingly, the junior toilets featured overwhelmingly, (along with the staff/visitor toilets for the teachers).
We are hoping to receive funding from the Diocese to renovate the toilets and we have written a letter to support this bid. We discussed the power of writing and how children’s own views could also be passed on to the Diocese through well-written letters. Year 5 have taken on the challenge!
