Y4 at the Buddhist Centre

On Wednesday, Year 4 went to a Buddhist centre on a school trip.

We walked up to Blackheath train station and got on a busy train. Next, our class stepped off the train and we strode up to the bus stop to catch bus 59. Finally, we arrived at the Buddhist centre and a man called Peter greeted us at the door. First, he took us to the huge meditation room in which stood an enormous copper Buddha. Then, he guided us to a tiny room which had bean bags. We sat down and talked about the culture of Buddhism then relaxed and meditated. He read a small book and then we went to the lounge area to eat our lunch (IT WAS VERY TASTY ). When it was time to leave, we all said goodbye and a huge thank you. It was a great trip and we learnt lots.
