Where best to start learning about personal finance than in Reception?
Starting each morning with their daily wage (3p), carefully stored in their brown envelope banks, the children in Reception class are learning how to budget. Throughout the day, they can ‘spend’ their money on play equipment like Lego and also ‘earn’ money by working as a teaching assistant, librarian or bank manager! As with real life, some save and some spend!
